It's going slow, but I think progress is being made

1. Retaining Wall - work began April 2. We had several rain delays but at this point, we have a solid foundation and a concrete wall on which the rock will be re-placed. The builders are guaranteeing the wall and the stonework. May 21, 2021. It is very slow going. The stone layers are not expected back until the end of next week. At this rate, it will be July 1 before we are finished. That's if work resumes here soon. I would hate to think this could go into the fall.
2. Pool - J says his workers are going to be there by the end of the month. Monday the 31st at the latest? We have picked out Quartzcape and tile colors. Please, please, please lets get started.
3. Landscaping - C says they will be there this week. We are going to work on a day by day basis with drainage correction and metal edging going in first, then the St. Augustine so as soon as the existing grass is dead. I put roundup on the grass 5/23 so its going to take at least two weeks to kill the grass as cool and wet as it is right now. When the sun comes out and starts baking the ground, it will speed up.
4. Windows. This is going to happen in the fall at the earliest, if it happens at all.

So, in all of this, I am trying to keep the yard as clean as possible but I am at others mercy to get each part in place.

2. Pool - The pool is absolutely awful. Im not going to show you a picture because it looks like a scummy creek. We do have big plans to get it renovated and looking great. The plan calls for the pool workers to show up on May 17.
3. Windows - S will contact the window man and see if he is still on track for June 1
4. Flower Beds - The Flower Bed crew will be here May 17, but we are not sure how much they can do until the Window Man has finished.
5. Grass - I had arranged to have grass and dirt work done early March, and the man disappeared. I contacted another contractor in April and he even came out and surveyed the yard on April 29th and promised to get back to me. Not a word. I really want to get this done.
6. Arbor - Again, trouble with contractors. The pool general contractor says he has someone to do this, but we are really at square 1 today.
7. Trees - We need to have about three trees removed (ugly bois d'arc trees) and several trimmed up.
