Estimate: $1,000
The fireplace needs some tune-up. The back wall has been replaced at least three times and the most recent was 2019. It cracks and could be a fire hazard. After several calls trying to find a replacement, as luck would have it, I have ended up with two. Here's the status on the fireplace:
- The back panel was installed by a professional who was kind enough to put the side panels back into place as well
- Mesquite Plumbing installed a new gas pipe
- I got a new grate
- In November, I purchased about a cord and a half of wood.
Everything works real good now and it came in handy when we had the cold weather in February as the power was out for a few days. We came in right at $1,000 including the firewood for the season + I have a spare back wall.
